Reply with quote | #1 | Now that the St. Louis Rams have lost 16 games in a row, counting last season, I'm really cheering for a winless season. Do they hand out a 'Toilet Bowl' trophy to the losers?
How are your teams faring?
I'm digging the Vikings this year, and Arizona has always been my backup team. I heard that yesterday, Kurt Warner reached 30,000 yards of completions, tying Dan Marino for the QB to reach that milestone in the fewest seasons.
Go Rams! Don't Beat Indy!!!! (as if)

Reply with quote | #4 | From the heights of Super Bowl euphoria not too many years ago, to the depths of despair stuck in this current quagmire of patheticism............from the penthouse, to the outhouse.........from the thrill of victory.... to the agony of defeat.........from the ....ah, you get the idea.
I used to follow the Rams when they were in SoCal. Thery were actually my first pro football team as a kid growing up in Whittier, Ca. But after moving to San Diego as a teenager, naturally the Chargers became my pro-football passion.......now talk about long-suffering..... I may never live to see a Charger Super Bowl victory. I pay hundreds of dollars every year for the "NFL Ticket" just to watch the Chargers on their supposed "Super Bowl run", and I am witnessing their current slide into mediocrity..... I still followed the Rams as my "NFC" team, but when they left for St. Louis it left me feeling like a jilted lover....couple that with being a Cal Bears (College-football) fan, who haven't won the Pac-10(formerly Pac-8) since the late 1950's, and also being a S.F. Giants fan who haven't won a World Series since 1954...... I am a sports-fan pariah........if it wasn't for the Lakers, my only source of sports-generated ecstasy, who have taken me to the mountain-top numerous times..........I'd be a candidate for sports-fan terminal depression.... |
